Harpenden Dental Centre

Harpenden Dental Centre is a unique practice in that we have a team made up of both friendly and very experienced general dentists and highly skilled and experienced specialist dentists. This means that as well as being able to look after the dental wellbeing of the whole family, we are also able to provide more complex specialist dental care as required. We also accept referrals from surrounding practices for specialist dental work

Looking after the dental wellbeing of the whole family is of the utmost importance to us. We have many patients that have been coming to Harpenden Dental Centre for many years and we have been helping them care and plan to keep their teeth and mouths healthy. For children we help them understand the importance of good dental hygiene, regular toothbrushing, and make sure they have a positive experience of visiting the practice for treatment.

Our dental specialists have undertaken extensive postgraduate training in their chosen area prior to becoming a registered specialist. We participate in and provide continuing specialist training as qualified professionals. All the dental specialists at HDC have close links with teaching hospitals and lecture both nationally and internationally.

Manjeet is a senior clinical teacher at King’s College London (KCL), holding an academic post running and teaching on the endodontic MSc at KCL and lectures both nationally and internationally in the field of endodontics.

Ali is a consultant orthodontist and specialist in orthodontics at the Luton and Dunstable Hospital. Ali enjoys teaching and training in the field of orthodontics. He has been training orthodontic specialists and orthodontic therapists since 2013.

In 2023 we opened a new wing in the centre to extend our capacity. We now have 8 new state of the art dental surgeries, two of which are equipped with dental operating microscopes. This specialist equipment enables clinicians to perform highly complex treatments by seeing more clearly inside a tooth. We also have a CBCT scanner which allows us to takes 3 dimensional xrays. We can also provide same day crowns using our digital scanner and milling machine.

We understand that dental anxiety is very common in adults and children. Nervous patients are welcome at Harpenden Dental Centre. Our team of dental experts will do all that is possible to relieve you of dental anxiety and support you through any dental treatments you may require, taking the time you need. For particularly nervous patients, conscious sedation is also available by arrangement.
